Super-stars from large and small screens gathered on Sunday, May 7th 2017 to celebrate the newly re-branded MTV awards.

It was with a twist this year as it was MTV’s first venture in honoring both Movies and TV and from our LEGENDARY vintage point we declare it as a success. We even caught a very ‘interesting’ commercial with Lil Yatchy

A snap from Lil Yatchy’s MTV Commercial.

Held at the Shrine auditorium in LA and hosted by Adam Devine, the award show saw performances by Noah Cyrus, Big Sean and J. Balvin, Pitbull and Camila Cabello- singing their single from ‘The Fate of the Furious’ called ‘Hey Ma’ #DopeLineUp. The presenter line up was also exceptional with Tom Holland and Zendaya giving the sneak, exclusive footage of Spiderman- Homecoming- definitely a must see in my book legends. The night went on with a variety of other presenters such as Snoop Dog, Zac Efron, Amy Schumer, John Cena and DJ Khaled (just to name a few) making their appearances.

We also got the opportunity to get an unshared sneak peek of the new upcoming movie ‘IT’ by the cast itself. Please add this movie to your list of movies to see as it seem to be another interesting, #DOPE one; release date is set to be September 8, 2017.

The best dress of the night is arguably Zendaya. Can that girl do any wrong? She wore a flirty, 70-ish dress. Sometimes simple is enough! Other good looks were Hailee Steinfeld, Auntie Tracee Ellis Ross and Cookie (Taraji P Henson)- In a totally unrelated topic, did you guys hear her speech when accepting the ‘Best Fight Against the System’ award? Always so passionate and emotional and such a great role model. Definitely someone a woman can aspire to be. Paris Jackson came out making a statement with her Michelle Obama shirt, yes we always need to keep them reminded about Black excellence and legacy #ShoutOutToParis.

On the other hand some of the worst outfits of the night were from Farrah Abraham(OMG, girl what were you thinking? Sheesh!), Debby Ryan and Alexandra Daddario.
